This comprehensive guide walks you through the full process of setting up your Bitget Spot — from funding and margin configuration to creation and submission to Sequence.
The guide is organized into the following sections:
Available Strategies on Bitget Spot
Before you Start
Use a Desktop Browser for Best Results.
We strongly recommend completing the setup process on a desktop browser, preferably Chrome. In our experience, doing this on a mobile web browser can be quite difficult — while not entirely impossible, the process is significantly less smooth.
Primary Email Requirement
Your registered email is the one linked to your active strategy or bot, and it’s the only one authorized to receive private account information. 2FA codes, invoices, and sensitive support responses will only be sent to this email.
Microsoft Email Users (Hotmail / Outlook / MSN / Live) & Zigglo:
If you’re using an email address from Hotmail, Outlook, MSN, Live, or any other Microsoft-related domain, please note that these are not compatible with key features in Sequence. Please contact us at support@tradewithsequence.com to get this resolved.
Bitget account with Level 1 and Google Authenticator enabled
Please make sure your Bitget account has KYC Level 1 completed and Google Authenticator enabled. To ensure the security of your assets, bind any two: mobile number, email address, or Google Authenticator.
Step 1: Create a Sub-account
First, create a dedicated sub-account exclusively for trading with Sequence. Each strategy requires its own sub-account to ensure optimal performance — do not manually modify positions or place trades within it.
a. Log in: Visit the Bitget website and log in with your main account.
b. Access the sub-account management page.

c. On the next sub-account page, click Create in the upper-right corner.

d. Select Virtual sub-account — this is the recommended option for connecting trading bots via API, as it doesn’t require separate login credentials and inherits your main account’s KYC verification.

e. Name your sub-account, and in the Notes field you may add a short description such as “Sub-account dedicated to USD/ALT strategy” to help keep your accounts organized.
Then, click Create and complete the security verification (e.g., via email, Passkey, Google Authenticator, or SMS).

Step 2: Transfer funds
Bitget allows instant, fee-free fund transfers between your main account and sub-accounts.
Next, transfer the required minimum balance ($20,000 USDT or USDC / 0.2 BTC). Here's how to transfer funds via the Bitget website:
a. Click your profile icon
b. Click Sub-accounts
c. Navigate to Sub-account management.

d. Select a sub-account: In the sub-account list, select the target sub-account and click Transfer.

e. Set transfer parameters:
e.1. Choose the transfer direction: Transfer from main account to sub-account.
e.2. Select the asset (e.g., BTC, USDT, or USDC).
e.3. Enter the transfer amount. (Minimum required - $20,000 USD / 0.2 BTC ) in your base trading asset. Note: The base trading asset is the asset you want to accumulate.
e.4. Confirm transfer: Review the transfer details and click Confirm. The funds will be transferred instantly.

Step 3: Request your personalized connection link
Sequence generates personalized connection links (allow up to 24 hours to receive yours).
From your registered email, send a message to support@tradewithsequence.com with the following details:
Client ID: 0x001 / (example)
Exchange: Bitget
Strategy: For Spot: USD/ALT or BTC/SOL

Step 4: Switch to your dedicated Sub-account
Before opening your personalized connection link, make sure you’re logged into the correct sub-account in Bitget.
4.1. Click your profile icon.
4.2. Select Switch account, and
4.3. Choose the sub-account you created for your Sequence strategy (e.g., Tutorial_Spot).

⚠️ Important: If you stay logged into your main account, the process will automatically bind the API to it — not to your dedicated virtual sub-account — and you’ll need to restart the process from Step 3.
Step 5: Open your connection link
⚠️ Each submission link is valid for a single use only. If you make an error, or don’t complete the connection, the link will expire automatically and you’ll need to request a new one by contacting support@tradewithsequence.com
a. Once you receive your personalized link, open it and select Bitget as the exchange.

b. Select Quick Connect and Bitget Spot, then click Connect to Bitget.

c. You’ll be redirected to a Bitget authorization screen. Click Next to authorize third-party access.

d. Complete the security verification as prompted (email, Google Authenticator, or SMS). Enter the required codes and click Confirm to continue.

e. Once verification is complete, you’ll see a confirmation message: “Account Connected Successfully.”
This means your dedicated Bitget Spot sub-account is now securely connected to Sequence.

f. Verify your API connection. Once the Quick Connect process is complete, you can verify that the connection is active in your Bitget sub-account.
f.1. Click your profile icon.
f.2. Select API Keys from the dropdown menu.
f.3. Confirm that your newly created API key appears under your sub-account (not your main account).

g. Once your API connection is complete, our trading team will review and verify your setup.
Within 24 hours, you will receive an email from support@tradewithsequence.com confirming one of the following:
✅ Your strategy has been successfully launched, or
⚠️ A correction is needed before activation (e.g., sub-account settings, strategy selection, or funding requirements).
If approved, the confirmation email will include your Sequence Bot ID, strategy name, and anti-phishing word for future reference.

Additional Information
⁉️ API validity
API keys created during this initial steps are valid for 90 days.
At this stage, the keys are not yet bound to an IP address, which means they will automatically expire after the 90-day period.
To ensure long-term, uninterrupted service, it is essential to complete the next step in our instructions:
Once this part of the process is completed, your keys become IP-address bound, and they will no longer expire.
Until you finish this integration step, your API keys remain subject to the 90-day expiration, and neither Bitget nor Sequence will send reminders when they are close to expiring or have already expired.
⁉️ Trade only permissions
The API permissions we require provide strictly controlled access exclusively for executing trades on your exchange platform. To ensure account security, these permissions do not allow for any withdrawal or transfer capabilities of your funds.
⁉️ Security recommendation
To protect your account's security, never share your exchange account login credentials—not even with our team.
What's next?
We recommend reviewing the sections below, which address common questions about what happens next.
🟢 What to expect
The algorithm employs a systematic approach, placing strategic orders based on bidirectional price action. The algorithm intentionally places smaller trades when price ranges are tight. Therefore during sideways or upward-only price movements, the strategy maintains conservative trade sizes. Conversely, larger trades require more significant price movements in both directions for effective execution and closing.
🟢 Adding funds
The system takes into account the total balance of the account after the close of each trade / before the start of a new trade. This means that additional deposits can be made at any time and the system will recognize the deposit at the start of the new trade. For the funds to be recognized, please ensure funds are deposited into the correct wallet or subaccount where you are trading (on other exchanges) AND deposited in the strategy’s base currency.
🟢 Withdrawing funds
For security purposes, please notify us before making any withdrawals that exceed 5% of your total wallet balance. This security measure allows our team to safely pause the automated trading functions before processing your withdrawal. You can submit withdrawal notifications through your user dashboard or by emailing us here: support@tradewithsequence.com
🟢 How to monitor your strategy
You can monitor your strategy’s performance directly through your exchange interface by looking at the trade history. We recommend doing this in your desktop browser. For accurate performance tracking, please keep in mind that exchanges display (PnL) metrics in USD terms. This is relevant for any strategy that is accumulating Bitcoin - as the unit of account will be incorrect. You must look or export the close trades and then compare the results in your unit of account.
Critical Guidelines for Active Strategies
Once your strategy is active, please keep the following in mind to ensure everything runs smoothly:
🔴 Manual trades: Do not perform any manual trades in the sub-account running the algorithm
🔴 Withdrawals: Do not withdraw more than 5% of your total wallet balance without notifying us first
🔴 Non base asset withdrawal: Do not withdraw from any asset other than the coin that you are accumulating
🔴 Non base asset additions: Do not add any currency or coins, other than the base asset you are accumulating
FAQs and Troubleshooting
Why does the page show “Invitation Not Valid” when I try to open my submission link?
If you see the message “Invitation Not Valid — The invite link has already been used”, it means your personalized submission link has expired or has already been used once. For security reasons, the link will expire in 24 hours.
Each submission link can only be used a single time for security reasons.
To proceed, please email support@tradewithsequence.com from your registered email and request a new personalized submission link.

Do I need to create API keys manually in Bitget?
No.
If you follow our setup process and use the Quick Connect link provided by Sequence, the system will automatically create and authorize your API keys for you.
This ensures the correct permissions and a secure connection to your sub-account — no manual API key creation is required.
How can I verify which account the API connection was created on?
In the account dropdown menu, select the Sub-account you intended to dedicate to the Sequence strategy.
Verify whether the API connection is visible under that Sub-account.
If you see the connection, the API was created correctly,
If you do not see the connection, the connection was created under a different account — usually the Main account.

If the connection is not visible under the intended Sub-account, it means Step 4 was not completed correctly. In this case, you will need to request a new personalized Quick Connect URL and repeat the process starting from Step 3.
